Squash Pizza
Cut the squash (either yellow or zucchini) into slices, saute in olive oil and minced garlic for 3 minutes. Top prepared pizza crust with sauce, cheese, squash, and whatever else you might want to add. Bake at 400 degrees F. for 12 minutes.
To make it fun, you can use cookie cutters or a knife to make shapes out of the squash is the circles are big enough.

Need Advice On Finding An Affordable Mattress
I am in need of a decent mattress. Mine is over 10 years old and totally NOT comfortable anymore. I even put a piece of plywood under it hoping it would help. It is so saggy and is just really too small anyway. It is a queen-sized bed and I am 6 foot tall. I need a king-sized bed. I have no room to move around and stretch out. Of course, I also have a boxer, and English bulldog and a Shih Tzu that sleep in the bed too. My main problem is my budget. I have no job and am on a very limited budget. I entered several blog giveaways for mattresses but did not win. I was so hoping to be able to win. I would try to do a review but I don’t think I would qualify for a free mattress since my blog is so new. I do have a lot of followers but am not sure that would help.
So, does anyone have any advice on how to find an affordable, comfortable mattress? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If you know of a company that would let me do a review, I would love to know about it!

I Feel Like Such a Failure As A Mom
Today was really a sad day for me. I took my sweet baby boy, 4 years old, to the dentist. He got the routine dental cleaning and fluoride treatment. He took it all in good stride, as usual. He laughed when the hygienist was cleaning his teeth(he is very ticklish). When the dentist came in to check his teeth, all was still well and good. Then came the bad news, my baby has 3 cavities-THREE. We have to go back in 10 days for him to have them all filled. :( Of course, my baby is none the wiser about any of this. He just knows we have to go back to the dentist and it will be a little different than this time. I am devastated by this. My poor baby is going to have his teeth drilled. I feel like such a failure. How did this happen? We brush everyday-twice a day. He even brushes at school. So, why is my baby gonna have to go through this. He doesn’t eat many sweets at all. He prefers to eat apples and grapes.
Have your kids had cavities? If so, did you feel bad? What do they do at the dentist? I have never had to be there when a 4 year old gets cavities filled. UGH-I want someone to go with me. I don’t know if I can deal with it.

If You Have A Kindle, I Have Questions
I have had a Kindle for a couple of years now. I am actually on my second one and I absolutely love it! I find myself with tons and tons of books on my Kindle. I find myself in a quandary as to what I should do after I read a book. This is where you come in:
- How many books do you have on your Kindle?
- Do you organize them? (if you have a Kindle with this capability)
- Do you delete them after you read them?
- How many books do you buy? Or do you mainly get the freebies?
Seriously, Kroger? You Are Not Gonna Double/Triple My Coupons Anymore?
I just learned today that our local Kroger will no longer be doubling and tripling coupons after the 14th of this month. I am truly disappointed. I count on the doubles and triples to be able to afford to feed my family. I guess I will be making more trips to Walmart since they will price match the ads and that way I will only have to stop at one store now. Much more convenient for me- but a great loss for you, Kroger. I enjoyed shopping at your store but will no longer be a customer of yours if I can’t save the way I have been with my coupons. Granted, it was something that you provided to your customers as a perk for shopping there. Well, no perks for me means not having me as a customer. Yeah, the gas discount is a nice perk-BUT you have to spend $1000 to get $1 off per gallon. My coupons saved me so much more than that. So, on that note, I am saying goodbye to you Kroger. I really enjoyed shopping there when I was given an incentive to do so. I hope you are able to stay in business in our small town since most of the coupon shoppers will be taking their business elsewhere.
When Is Your Child Too Sick For School?
Yesterday, my little one had a very runny nose. I took him to school because he was not running any fever and had no other symptoms. When we came home from school, he still had a really runny nose and went through a whole box of about 80 Kleenex. I gave him some medicine for his runny nose which seemed to help some but not completely. At bedtime, I gave him some more medicine for the runny nose along with some Singulair and his nasal spray. He still had no fever and he slept really well last night. When we got up this morning, he was a little stuffy since the medicine had helped dry up his nose. I gave him some more sinus medicine and took him to school. He still had no fever, so I decided to take him anyway. At about 11:30 they called me to tell me he was running fever and I should come get him-poor thing had fallen asleep on the table in the lunchroom! I had actually thought about keeping him home but I did not feel likethe stuffy nose warranted him staying home. Of course, when they called me, I felt like a total failure because he felt so bad. He was burning up with fever. I brought him home, gave him some of his prescription meds from last time he was sick and we laid around and watched cartoons and slept. He got up for a little while but went to bed fairly early. I know that in the morning I will be struggling with that nagging question again as to whether I should take him to school.
How do you determine whether your child goes to school when they don’t feel good? I know vomiting and diarrhea would definitely mean he stays home-but what about the sniffles and stuffies?
